🛩️ Helicopter Services — Pawan Hans (Govt of A&N)

As of 22 May 2025, Pawan Hans helicopter operations run on a structured weekly schedule connecting remote and inhabited islands. Frequent routes include:

  • Port Blair ⇄ Hut Bay (Little Andaman)
  • Port Blair ⇄ Car Nicobar (six days/week)
  • Port Blair ⇄ Nancowry Group (six sorties/week via Car Nicobar)
  • Campbell Bay via Car Nicobar, using IAF Dornier aircraft on Mondays & Fridays
  • Interconnectivity to Rangat, Diglipur, Mayabunder (multiple sorties weekly)

Note: Seats are extremely limited and prioritized for medical emergencies, officials, or islanders. Tourists can apply through Port Blair DC office; approvals are rare and not guaranteed .
